The famous Boca Tapada Rainforest in the Caribbean Lowlands of Costa Rica. Juan Diego, will broadcast live at one of the most active bird feeders of the whole country with the attempt to offer you the real adventure of being there at the hour where birds are most active. The search for the first Virtual Lifers will start with a galore of Scarlet-rumped, Plain-colored and Crimson-collared tanagers that will share the table with a number of Shining, Red-legged and Green honeycreepers. Since you start the online connection Juan Diego's vibrant energy and deep knowledge will be immediately felt and you will get the real feeling of being birding at this location. Likely as the time goes you will get great views of Chestnut-colored, Black-cheeked and Pale-billed woodpeckers among with Brown-hooded and Red-lored parrots and of course we will expect the regular visit of a small pack of the beautiful Collared Aracaris, or the huge and fancy Yellow-throated and/or Keel-billed toucans. This is not a presentation, not a pre-recorded video, real birds in real time will give you the wild adrenaline to connect and learn from the nature. Every time Juan Diego finds a new tropical bird he will set his camera in the scope so you can have a crystal clear live image of the bird as he will narrate to you all noteworthy natural history aspects and identification tips to truly understand what is happening at the moment. Getting familiar with their melodic songs, field marks and unexpected behaviors that only you will be able to record and see first hand is a unique opportunity like no other. This local feeder is run by a very humble local family that make their living out of visiting birders, for this reason Juan Diego has decided to give majority of the profit of this tour to this family to help them recover these hard times after the pandemic suddenly stopped all their business.
